Thought some of you all might enjoy some pics of me and my LA workin today. We seeded peas on our farm on yesterday so today we had to set out some handline in the corners. I thought the LA would like to do some work so I put it's hood on (which adds yet one more color to the old girl) hooked up the pipe trailer and went to work. I had my Dad drive and my bro and I set out the pipe. I had to laugh at my Dad because he was gettin confused with the clutch and brake handles because I guess he said he is used to old Cats with a hand cluth that you pull back to engage and also old Deeres that had the clutch on the right. He tried to stop on one of the hills but went rollin away grabing for levers and pullin this and that! I just stood there and laughed. I personally have never drove anything with a hand clutch so I have no past instincts. This proves that I really do need to get the hyd brakes fixed though.

Congrats on getting to actually do some work with your LA. I'm hoping to have mine out of the shop and tooling around on it in a couple of weeks. Just keep in mind my idea about dropping an anchor off the back end.

Are you running it STRAIGHT PIPE ?? Bet it's kind of loud ....but sound great.. My La doesn't have turn brakes... it's a 48 .. but if I pull the PARK brake hard ... I can drag the wheels... Looks great .. keep up the good work... AFTER you get done playing with it and checking for leaks , THEN you can get it ONE color... Mark

Hi Mark, How's the calendar project coming along? We had about another inch of rain today.
The barley on my garden is getting tall. I would've liked to have plowed it under this month.
I need to take the snow blade attachment off the tractor if the snow fall is over, never had that much this year anyway. I see where MO is getting hit hard with flooding. I received an email from a man in NH that said they've had 105 inches of snow. One of his roof's collapsed from the weight. Hal

Hey! Kid get those brakes fixed that thing weighs over 8,000 lbs and can get going pretty fast down a big hill. That little hand brake may smoke a bit trying to stop it. I have hydraulics on my part tractor if you need anything the cylinders are frozen but could be taken apart and rebuilt. It has good brake pads but one brake is broken. Walt

Thanks for the latest picture of the LA doing something. Pictures of a restored tractor working are more enjoyable to me that pictures of one parked.
