I was going through the arcives a while back and I read a post about someone using a product called Lucas Hub Sealer in there tractor tranny to stop leaks. I have a oil leak between the right axle housing and the tranny case. I had to slide these housings to tension my drive chains when I installed them. I must have broke a gasket or something in this process. I was hoping that maybe this prouct would stop the leak. I was at the local autoparts store today that sells Lucas products and they had never heard of it. Does anybody have a part# for this product that I could give them so that they can order it? Or is there maybe some other product out there that would work better? Thanks a bunch

The demo website convince me, also after checking this week leak (Weeping)has returned so I guess I just ruined 41 quarts of 80-90w gear lube. Have to drain it anyway to pull the brake assembly and replace the leaking o-ring. No more Lucas products for me.

Just my 2 bits on Lucas Hub oil.I've driven truck all my life & have heard about this product but never used it.Last fall I had a cracked hub cap on one of the trailer axles. We usually run 80-90 gear lube.I got a new cap & a quart of Lucas Hub oil.I was on my way to Texas & kept checking hub temp. The hub temp was running twice as hot as the others,it worried me enough when I got to Dallas I drained it out & put in 80-90 again.Thats my only experience with Lucas.

I put it in the transmission/differentail of my Case 630. I think I knicked an o-ring when I reassenbled the brake section. This seems to have stopped the weeping. It didn't do any good until I drove the tractor around a bit to thoroughly mix it up in the gear lube though.
