Aft cover off. Full mark on the hydraulic oil dipstick = oil level a shade less than 3" below the gasket.

I'll be adjusting the clutch pack after I get some of the other things out of the way. See if I can get a decent pix of the lock pins to post.

My wife always swears by keeping a can of Berryman Brakeclean in the laundry room (the real stuff, not the non-chlorinated). Might be able to get the grease out of your sleeve. Then again, might dissolve it, but nothing to lose!

Shirt is no problem, it is a light color cotton material that makes a dandy shop rag. The slacks are new, last B-day gift from GF, material is crap for shop rag use.

Wimmins just don't know how to buy practical clothes that have a life beyond. When I am into a tractor overhaul, I think she counts the towels and sheets, cant sneak none the good stuff out to the shop anymore. Plus she now insists I dress up some when we go out instead of wearing my usual levis. Just one of them female things I guess.

All I can say is, don't read one of mEL's posts while you're dressed up, sitting around waiting the mandatory extra hour it takes for her to get ready. The urge is to pop out to the shop just for a quick peek at what he is talking about. One thing leads to another and...well you know.

Well, I can see why you thought you could get away with it. That's about the cleanest gearbox I've ever seen!

Nice shot to prove your point beyond doubt, Have adjusted many of those clutches "under oil" so should have thought better before posting, unfortunately years passing and not having done one for many yrs now somewhat dulls the memory. I do know that oil transfer is possible while sitting unused, that is the bigger point, nice photos, I wish I knew how to post photos like that, never have done it Thanks again. mEl

Doggonit mEL, you turned my hour or so adjustment job into less than 10 mins. Went from 39 lbs to 50 in a few clicks. I am going to leave it there, check it out when I get the tractor rolling.

Now tell me, you know that clutch linkage pivot right there with all the old grease onnit. How do you get that grease off your best dress slacks? The dress shirt will make a good shop rag after I cut the oil soaked sleeve off. Least I was smart enough to take my sport coat off.
