I have a question on these things. When I was taking them apart they were under incredible tension which made taking them off interesting. When I go to put them back on, what is the best way? Each side had spacers that took up a bunch of the length of the bolt so that the nuts wouldn't have to travel as far (or possibly because there aren't threads all the way).
I have a second question about them also. Would it be better to paint the orange after they are streched or before? I would think that strecthed would be better so that the paint would get inside the spring and the paint wouldn't crack when you stretched them if you painted them off the tractor.
