The original subject was "411 Case".

I need to know what model ( ie. V ,VA ,C,S, CC. etc ) tractor I have. I'm new to this and don't know which parts fit my Case . Its a 1958 , 411B Case O Matic ,with wide front end ,serial number 602194 . Someone has put a 12 volt Battery and starter on this 6 volt tractor, will it destroy anything ,should it be changed back to 6 volt .

G'waite: The battery is a positive ground rather then the normal today of negative ground. The CaseOMatic works very well, its just understanding how it works. Suggestion change the fluids, and change/clean the filters one in front behind the grill and one below the gas tank. I use dextron it has cleaners and you can get it in 5 gal containers but I'm sure thier are other oils just as good. Good luck!

My book shows it is 12 volt for 1958. I have a 1958 311-b my self. As for the v and all that. Your tractor is a 411-b model and not a V or anything else. This is the info I have been given and from my book. Hope this helps.
When looking up info on your tractor. You will use the 400 series to find info. You can go to www.caseih.com and go to parts etc and find lots of good info on your tractor for parts.
