I am looking at a Case 646 with loader and tiller to purchase. Seller indicated the tractor moves slowly indicating a problem. However, the loader works fine? any suggestions on possible problem and cost to repair? Thanks.

It sounds like the hydraulic motor is wore. Will it pull ok in reverse? When they ware it is in the forward side but will backup ok. Check that out. Hope this helps.

My 644 had the same problem. It has a complicated travel linkage. The problem was the lower cross linkage was worn enough to prevant full travel on the travel spool. I took the linkage apart and welded up the worn parts. Made a few other adjustments that give more travel.
Might also need the pressure regulating valve adjusted. It is on the rear of the travel valve... Gene

Could it be that the 630 is a Case -O -Matic and no one there has no idea about how to operate the old girl ?

I assume the gentleman is speaking of the loader garden tractor as he talks of a tiller. Would assume its in the travel spool. Don't have any manuals anymore. Someone here may have info or he should post on the Case garden tractor forum also.
