differential lock on case 430 1969

I"m new to old tractor, i have this 430 case, but i discover i coundn"t lock the differential when i"m stock in ice, it"s really a problem for me i was planning to work on uneaven land with it, now i"m asking if anybody as ever put this differential lock on his case, could i find this part somewhere? should i change the tractor for an other model, which one? thanks for any advice...Martin42

It was an extra cost option thus not all of them had it.

I believe that most all of the 430s have locking differentials...I have 2 , one an early version and one a late '60s, and both have them. It is a foot pedal towards the rear of the platform on the r.h. side, attached to the side of the diff. housing. When it starts to spin, tromp on the pedal and it should lock up.
