Which screw is the fuel screw on the Bosch pumps for the 451 and 504 engines? I have a pyro to watch the temps and since I added a bit larger turbo to my 2390 I would like to make use of the extra available air. Thanks!

I have a 1570 turned in 2 1/4 tins in. Holds 250 hp at stock pto speed. Mechanic choose not to go any higher, for it has one new sleeve assembly installed. He said it burned clean. I plan to pull it once a year, not ment for the field this way. Don L.

I turned up a 2390 one time and messed with it on the dyno. I found that on it and others i have played with is 1 full turn in = around 25hp or more increase. By the way the 2390 i did this to the pto slipped at 285 hp. It still had some more in it yet. The thing you have to remember is the rest of the tractor wont holdup to that abuse. So use caution cause they will really put out the power. Thad

1/4 turn might be a bit much. May want to start with 1/8. Depends on how much you want to increase the horsepower. I also have a 1570 that is putting out 215 hp. It was at 225 so the shop set it back. Still love that tractor.

JoeBob, what charger did you put on your tractor. I've got a 1570 and ofter thought about upgrading the turbo if stock unit ever went out, although probably don't need to since she's already dynoed out at 215 h.p.

lower rear of the pump has a cover with 4 bolts. Remove this cover and inside is a screw with a lock nut. Loosen the lock nut and turn the screw in, maybe 1/4 turn at a time, to increase fuel delivery.
If the screw doesn't have any affect, then take the cap off the rack stop at the front of the pump and remove the screw and remove 1 washer and try again... Gene
