What is the easiest way to replace the darn fan belt on these tractors? Looks like you have to take the whole hydro pump off just to slip the new belt on the crank pulley. There has to be an easier way... I hope!

Thanks

When you do this, don't forget to watch out for a little bushing in there that will drop out when you slide the shaft forward. Without the bushing there is nothing to hold the shaft in place when you hook it back up.

It seems to me that the only way is to remove the pump, but don't take my word for it as I only have an 880. However, do a search for Elmer on this board as he is the resident DB expert. Failing that, go to www.dbtc.co.uk as this subject has been discussed there recently. Good Luck !!!
