Hey guys I just bought a CASE 211-B tractor serial number 6097611 and was wondering if anyone could tell me the year of this little machine. Also was this the smallest tractor in the #11-B range or were there others. I have other CASE tractors a model S and a VA but am not familiar with this newer series. Thanks in advance for all the help.

We have collected and restored Case tractors for over 40 years. I have only seen two of these and I owned one. This tractor I think came out with a 126cid engine vs. the 124 of the VAC. Yes, smallest of the 11 B series. It was the replacement for the VAC with new tin work and the hydraulics and transmission options of the 11 B series. Rumor from Case was that the tractor was not popular. It wasn't any smaller than the 311 B so buyers choose the tractor with the bigger engine. Another marketing issue, was that even though there was a little bigger engine, with all the new bells and whistles, it would not outperform the older VAC. Mine made a very nice mowing tractor, but I preferred the power of the 311B for anything than yard mowing.

Hi Jim,
I"ve been told the 126 block is same as 148 and the 148 pistons & sleeves will fit, no problem.
Best wishes, Dennis..... ..

I have a 211b. My uncle bought it new. It was the only tractor we had for years. Worked the snot out of it and it did the job. Mowed, raked, and baled with a Case 133 baler. Only had a straight 4 speed and no ipto so you really had to be fast with the clutch and pulling it out of gear when you got a big wad of hay. I think that big side flywheel on the baler helped out some. I still use it for hauling produce in out of the field and pulling the hay wagon. I think it is rated about 30 hp at the pto which I find prety amazing since the 148 430 is only rated at 33 and the 159 530 at 43. It's a good rugged tractor.

go to serial numbers to left of this screen and look up case and then model, it looks like 1959.
