Finally, the owner responded to my $400 offer after 2 weeks. Said $500 would get it. IDo you really think its worth that? Again, if it was a Farmall, itd be at the house by now! Thanks!

The "SC's" are common here in VA and WV, but the "S's" are few. I think I could easily get $500 for it here.

Heck if it was 40 miles away and it looks anything like the picture I wouldn't be worried about giving 500.00 for it. Use it for parts or resale it you should come ahead on it.

These guys and scrape iron LOL in reply to John M, 01-30-2008 14:44:04
Lets see... well first they have to get a trailer and load it up. Chain it down and then figure where they might go to scrape it. .. Usually not very close by and could be a small place that is not paying that much for it now....
Then they have fuel cost.. all adds up when they say then can scrap it. Why did they not do it before one wonders. lol I call it just plain BS that most put out. With many you see not able to pick up 20 lbs off the dang floor. shessss LOL

If the engine turns, no crack in the block behind the carb and the tires hold air that would be a fair price.Looking at the picture it appears to have the small fuel tank at the front of the hood-this would make it an all fuel tractor. I bought one like it last fall with 3 bad tires and 1 shredds with the wheel roted off and the engine is stuck. I paid $300 and figure I came out ok.

Does it run?? If it does its probably worth that. If it doesn't maybe depending on how the engine is

Im assuming the engine is stuck since the manifold is busted. This is an old pic of the tractor, maybe 4 years old if not 5. When I first found this tractor it ran pretty good, but he would not budge from his $1500 price, which I couldnt afford at the time. I bought a 39 Farmall H he had instead, very low numbers, in real bad shape but very complete. I think the number was like 607 or something, but never had time to restore it and sold it. Wish I could find the guy who bought it, would love to see it now. I offered him $400 for it, fiqured if it was too bad, maybe I could get my money back out of the parts. That was 2 weeks ago and he just responded yesterday, told me $500 and he would deliver it to my house, about 40 miles from there. I think Im going to pass on it right now anyways, but I do know a couple of guys who may be intersted.

John, bring me $500 and come and get this thing out of my way, With the price of Scrap, It would probably bring $400 at the crusher, I guess I could sell it to you for 400, but I have others interested in this tractor.

RJ

(BTW, the other people he has interested in it are the same guys I know who might want it.)

Sounds about like a guy that called me last week with a Farmall F-12. He wants $500 for it but it has bad tires and doesn't run. He told me scrap price was $230 a ton that day and said he could get that out of it and I told him no way since a F-12 is only 3200lbs give or take a little
