Since you answered the question below, were there any High Altitude Pistons made in 4" bore and of aluminum? Were the cast iron HLP,s flat toped or domed? Is there any data anywhere that tells what the increase in HP for these upgrades were? Thanks!

If you had the 4570 head, and slowed the engine down to C RPM's you would have 27 HP. I do not recall saying that your DC had 27 HP. I was not writing about the D engine, rather the piston and head combinations available that include the C engine. DK

The 3 7/8 Hi comp pistons were flat top. That is why they can not be used with the 5505, and LP heads. All the 4" that I have seen were the flat top flush with the deck pistons. I have seen both the flat top flush with the deck 4 1/16" and the 4 1/16" domed pistons that the dome fits into the 5505 and possibly the LP head. I have every head, and every piston in running tractors, but far from every combination. About all you have to do is grab the starting crank and you get a good idea what piston is in there. HP will range from 27 to well over 50. Exactly how much each combination would pushit up I have no idea. Hope this helps DK
