Gearing difference between D and DC tractors

Does anyone know how these tractors were geared differently? They have the same ground speeds, but different diameter rear wheels. Was it different final drive gears or different gears in the transmission? Thanks for the help.

I have DO gears in my DC puller, dc=37 teeth, do 31 teeth,this brought speed up,I have a picture but do not know how to put it on hear, DCdennis wausau wi.

I installed DO gears and axles into my DC puller, I beleve the DC had 37 teeth The DO had 31 this brought my speed up in all gears, got weight below 4500 lbs,I have a picture with both gears in the housing but do not know how to put it on hear, DCdennis wausau wi

dc tom recomends puttin di sprockets in for pullin so id assume its all in the sprockets

I suggest that you look at a parts book; you will see no difference in gears between the D and DC. I really can't account for the same speeds as shown in the operator's manual.

tommy, notice in the parts book there were different ring and pinion and other gears, to change speed, easiest way is to change sprockets finding the other gears would be very hard i am sure tg
