I have a '44 SC that I use for pulling and would like to get the ground speed lowered. Are there any 36" Case wheels and hubs that will bolt on to an SC rear axle shaft, such as maybe a 611B?

Also consider tire procurement. 36" is somewhat odd. If it were me I would go the route Jim McVay suggests and drop to 28" rims as these tires are much easier to find. Just put a new back tire on my 630, but then I was matching brands of the other nearly new tire.

A lot more choices and economy with 28" as well as slowing you down more. I did a lot of looking before finding my 13.6 x 36 Alliance tire locally, 36" not as common as 28".

The 36" split rims from the RC, CC, and early DC's will bolt right on to your SC wheels. DK

351,511b,611b and 630s had 2 1/2" axles where SCs had 2 5/8" axles. Like already posted 36" are not that much smaller. If you went to 8 or 9 bolt hubs and went to 28" rims and used 14.9 or 16.9 x 28" you might go slower.

They will not slow you down much at all. Plus you will have less traction. It is hard to get a SC to pull. I don"t mean to rain on your parade just facts. Bull gears and wheels don"t make much difference in speed like transmission gears do. Sorry! Don

All you have to do to get an SC to pull is bore it, put an LP head on it to boost compression and cut the treads (or just wear them out) so it will spin in second gear. Dad used to pull his way back when (it had these mods) but it was all over when new tires were put on it to farm with. He always said you had to get it to spin in second gear to get a full pull. As stock, they are not much for pulling. Too heavy for the HP rating.
