Gene,

Didn't think the 930 sleeves would work in the 900 377 with out boring the block, does block casting number make a difference or was I misinformed. Does this also apply to the late 500's and the 600???

These engines all used a 5 inch stroke. Originally had a 4.00 inch bore for 377 cu. in. and 4 1/8 inch bore for 401 Cu.in. A bore of 4 1/4 inch will yield 425 Cu.in.
Possible to get 451 cu. in. with stock parts, but takes a little machine work... Gene

I think most places that sell overhaul kits don't have the 900--377 kit. Thay will sell you a kit for the early 930. The sleeves fit the block but are reamed out bigger for 930 piston.

As far as I can find out you don't do any machine work. The outside of the sleeve is the same size in a 377 and the early? 401. The inside of the sleeve is made an 1/8 of an inch larger and bigger pistons put in. I am using one that was did that way. The overhaul kit comes already to put in, sleeves and the works. IH dealer should have them.
