Hey everyone I'm still looking for a couple of parts for the DC-4 that I'm working on. Looking for the long bar/rod, I guess Case calls it a link, that runs to the front end for the steering. Also bushing for the front axle support that runs back to the center of the tractor on the bottom and a bushing for the hand clutch... Any help would be great.

Hi Larry - let me know if you want the phone number for the salvage yard down the road. He has a bunch of DC/SC's lying around.

Larry:

My parts books show that the "chicken roost" arm is the same for both DC3 and DC4 tractors. There was a change at 4607033 but it applied to all DC's. Therefore, you should be able to use a DC3 link on a DC4.

It depends on the wide front. If its the wide adjustable front, then yes it the same. But on the standard DC4 with the axle under the engine, the rod is much shorter.

Dave thanks so much I guess I should have mentioned that it is the non-adjustable front end...

Tom, Thanks for checking but if I'm not mistaken a DC-3 is a NF and my DC-4 is a WFE. My serial number is 8024656 which is a late 1953. The arm is not the same at all. Much longer and has a bend to it on the DC-3
Thanks, Larry

My 1950 DC3 steering arm is dead strait. It was easy to cut down.

I think the bushing you are looking for on the wishbone is 07067AB. As for the steering rod, on my conversion from a DC3 to DC4, I just cut down and rewelded the DC3 rod. They are way more common and thus easer to find.

Dave,
Yeah that is the bushing that I'm looking for, and I'm thinking that I should probably replace the pin that is associated with the bushing. As for the rod I was kinda wondering about cutting down a rod from a DC-3 simply because of the availablity of the DC-3s.
Thanks,
Larry
