Heres what it looks like. I pull the one inspection plate off today and found it has both a broken pressure plate and throw out bearing so now I need to find the parts, which so far hasn't seemed to be easy to find. Any body know some place to get them. Case doesn't have them and one other place I checked does so any body know where one might get them??
Thanks

Check/money order will go out tomorrow. Picked it up on my way to go look at/buy a couple more tractors. Just got home from hauling in a MH33 and have an Allis WC to go back for

Old,I'll second Tom Railsback on Ed Axlehelm in Oh.,He has about the largest selection of SC-DCs of any yard I have ever been in.It is a one man one woman place.

Old:
Get in touch with John Saeli in Geneva New YOrk. He's the Case Collectors' technical expert on the S series tractors. (jsaeli@rochester.rr.com)
His phone number is (315) 585-9826.
Ed Axthelm in Cardington, Ohio should be able to help too. He has a "Tractor Retirement Village" aka salvage yard specializing in the S series. Phone: (419) 864-4959.

It's a foot clutch and not a hand clutch, right?

It should be easy to find a used one for a hand clutch. Most of the tractors had hand clutches. I see them on Ebay from time to time. If you still need one, email me and I will give you the names and phone numbers of some used parts suppliers.

I have had 2 DC's with the same disease. I welded them back together and had them machined flat. Lots of preheating, small welds, and more preheating. Took me all day to weld it up. Cool very slowly. Mine was still hot the next morning. Email if you need more information. DK

Old,
Try your local clutch rebuilder. They should be able to fix you right up.

I don't think they will be able to help with this one. The throw out bearing and pressure plate are both broken. Each has broken cast iron castings areas on them so I figure they would look and say no way and the nearest one is 100 miles from me also so it would cost me $40 or more just to drive down to them

Hi Dennis , I think He Also needs the cast iron 3 prong over centering coupling yoke that clamps and engages the clutch and slides on the main drive shaft ..WHEW ! ,Tuffy for Me to describe .chuckle ...Do you have an SC split for parts over there ? ..... . What broke the one on Dads DC was the cotter key came out leaving 2 arms to do the work rather than 3 ,I recall the clutch acting a bit strange a few times and then It would hardly work at all .. SEE YA ,,Jim
