580CK Shuttle problems

MY 1970 something Case 580CK Backhoe has problems when the transmission oil gets hot it stops working. It has the Rockford clutch pack in it. I replaced the sheered off key-way in the shuttle pump and I also cleaned the screen on the bottom of the pick-up tube. Somehow water got into the trans one winter when I went to move it I jerked the tractour w/ the hoe and I heard a loud snap from the trans afetr 2 years or more of sitting i started working on her and found the keyway to the shuttle pump was broke and the trans started working.But now i have no reverse and i have to wait 5 or ten minutes for it to warm up beforew she will move. Then after i start woking w/her the trans oil gets to hot for her to mo0ve forward or backward after I let it sit 10 minutes i can go forward again. Do any of you know what he problem is? Before the water got in the trans oil she ran great. I even tried 30 weight non-detergent oil in her and sill acts the same maybe i need to flush w/ desil fuel to clean her out real good? Any info will help!! I evenb got the manuals on her.
