The 200B and 430 will have clam shell fenders like the ones used on the VA series. The 300B will have intregal fenders with floorboards attached. The 430 will have the starter safety switch built into the gearshift. The B series will have the chrome Case emblem on either side of the sheet metal at the radiator. Also has chrome stripe on side of hood. The 30 series had the black decal on the side of the hood. The 300B will have a large access panel to remove the battery whereas the 200B will have a small cover and the hood has to be removed to get the battery out. The hand clutch lever on the B series is short and straight while the 30 series is longer and is bent out close to top to allow better access to it.

300 300B series hand clutch as JGarner described was billed by Case as "constant running pto". Almost live but not quite. Nope, I am not going to get into the difference between live & independent pto, just quoting Case owner's manual on the "constant running".

300B has a 148 cid engine, block casting # G1000 or G1235 below the dipstick if engine original. Might apply to 430? but not 200B, 500B, 600B or higher nr series tractor far as I know..... .

The 200 Series dash has individual gauges and tach. On the 300, all are one unit and under one piece of glass, assuming someone hasn't made changes.

The 430 fuel tanks Were covered w/ sheet metal as well!! The power steering set-ups might give you a clue as these were changed several times over the years of production. If you could post some pictures, I am sure you would quickly narrow it down.

Could be 5/600B also or 530/630. The 30 series had square nose too the differentiator is that the gas tank cap and radiator cap are under a little door on the hundred series tractors and the 30 series has the radiator cap sticking through the nose piece and the gas tank forms part of the sheet metal, its not cover by a hood piece. Other subtle sheet metal differences too like the key switch is dead center of the dash on the hundred series and off to the right of center on the 30 series.

The live pto on both series was only available with the COM. I believe the dry clutch (straight 4 speed or triple range) had what Case called an independent pto. The hand clutch let you stop tractor motion without disengaging the pto as it would if you pushed the foot clutch in.

Sounds like a 430...I don't believe the 2/300 series came with the 2 stage clutch set-up...

I could be wrong.

I'll be corrected,if I am...

Hahaha!
