Can't supply a schematic but it's a simple: double 4-speed, H-Pattern. If your having problems finding a gear it's probably that your not finding/using the double neutral. When in either higher-gears neutral or lower-gears neutral the lever must be centered carefully and moved either straight up, or down to the opposite neutral, then into the H-pattern for gear selection. A little difficult to master but once you understand the feel it works quite well. Hope that helps.

There was a shift pattern plate listed on ebay about a week ago. They are still available from case dealer. You have 8th 7th 6th 5th and high reverse on top side and 4th, 3rd, 2nd, 1st and low reverse on locer side.

See if you can get to this link in the archives. If you can't use the link, do a search on the forum for "shift pattern"
