Well I had my generator on a case 1030 rebuilt and they put a new regulator module on it and did away with the marks I had on the old one to show where the wires go.

there are three screw mounts on the regulator
1 - 2 -3 Their is one wire going from the generator to the number 3 position. there are two wires coming from the tractor. one big one and one small one. Do I put the big one on number one and the small one on number two?????

thanks

Let me elaborate on this a little more. Last night I played with it. Two wires from the tractor. ONe large one and one small one. If I hook the large one on position 1 and the small on position 2 The generator light goes out on the dash while it is started but when the key is turned off the generator light stays on. Reversing the wires does the same thing.

If I attach the small wire to position 3 with the wire that is already there wired to the generator and the large wire to either position 1 or 2 The generator light stays on with the engine running but goes out after turning the tractor off.

stumped
