HI Gene,

Any chance you can take a look at the bracket that provides the tensioning adjustment for both the PS pump and generator on your 700 for me?

I had to take mine off to pull the water pump, and now I can't figure out how it goes back on. Seems there should be a fixed pivot point in the center hole of the bracket, and the long slide is on the generator end. But all I can see to do is hook the PS pump to one end and the generator to the other and tighten both belts, then tighten the nuts. Seems I am missing something.

The pump took far longer to rebuild than anticipated, and, well, you know the rest. Parts books does not show the bracket at all.

Thanks,

Tim in New York

Tim;
I have long since converted to an alternator, so some of the brackets have been redesigned.
But I have the parts book with the diagram of the parts.
Th piece with the slotted hole bolts to the head with the slotted hole toward the engine and the dogleg down so the slot can provide adjustment and the pump bolts to this. The long piece bolts on outside with the curve down and angled forward for the generator adjustment. Hope this can get you started. E-mail is open if you need a copy from the parts book... Gene

Hi Larry,

It would help if you can get me a couple of shots, especially if you still have the sheet metal off the nose. E-mail should be open on this post, or you may have mine already from our previous conversations.

Thanks,

Tim
