A buddy just aquired a 930 lp (940) standard tread I'm not sure if it is a CK or not but I believe it is a western special. I also think it is a 6 speed but not positive.
The serial tag shows model 940X ser# starts with 81 but I didn't write down the number.
I'm wondering what the X stands for in the model number and what was the rated HP on the 940 lp.
The tractor runs nice and all functions are normal but the tires are wasted.
Also the LP system has the fuel tank disconnected and a 5 gallon BBQ tank supplying the fuel. I'm assuming that this tank needs to be inverted to feed liquid since the supply from the BBQ tank is only 1/4" Any input would be appreciated.

John;
Nebraska rated at 79.64 HP on LP. Six speed is early production and with a 81XXXXX serial number it is 1960 to 1962. Has chain drive rear axles. Basically the same tractor as a 900/910.
To my knowledge, the X designated a tractor for export... Gene
