900 case heads

I have a 900 with 8500 cast on the heads. Someone told me that these were pretty good heads for tractor pulling. Is this right? Did they come out originally on the 900"s? If not what did they come out on? Thanks for the help.

Those are LP heads. They were put on the big 400"s, and 600"s and the 700/800"s and of course the 900"s. Not sure about the big 500"s.

It is a LP gas head. Good head for pullin.
