I play with mine now and then last year used it to pull Xmas trees out of the wet muddy field as it has great traction.

Its fun in the snow too. Hey Gene take yours out this winter and use the snow to clean the tires they look like new after a fun run in the white stuff.

Walt;
You are right there. I still have the mud on the tires from pulling the motor homed and trailers through the mud at Portland, Indiana. Maybe I ought to get it out this weekend and clean them off.
I have plowed with about 5 inches of snow on the ground and cleaned the tires better than any cleaner. Snow is just abrasive enough to remove all the oxidized rubber... Gene

It has been about 50 years, but we used our LA year round. It pulled the wagon with ground corn to feed the cattle, ran the feed grinder, and occasionally broke drifts when the road got plugged with snow. We also used the DC to load ensilage.

Same thing at our place Tom. Dad seemed to use the LA more whenever the snow started to bother too much. It seemed to be able to make it through just about anything.

My LA stays in the barn. I have tractors more suited for winter chores. The 700 has a snow blade on it now and the 530 has the back blade. The V is used to move trailers and wagons around. The DC-4 has a loader and used mainly to move heavy parts. The 222 has a snowblower for the winter and the 644 loader tractor is used to move the drifts and clean snow from around the buildings.... We used to use our LA for grinding feed, the hand clutch was great for going through gates, easy on easy off. We hand cranked ours, although the starter did work. Be careful of the screen in the bottom of the oil pan in the winter time.
We started the tractor and there was no oil pressure, found out there was ice crystals around the screen in the oil pan.

Ande,
I don't have an LA, yet, but my 801B will be used this winter for moving round bales, blading snow/ice and for just about what ever else comes up. I feel that these critters shouldn't be stored like a collector car or something they were made for working after all. Just my opinion.
