just make sure you connect the line from the sediment bowl to the carb instead of the other way around. If you connect it from the carb to the sediment bowl, the fuel will run backwards.

yeah I like the idea of making a line too. I tried to make one though and if I am going to make it like the origional on both ends the 90 degree bends are so close to the end of the line that I do not have room to put the flaring tool on and have the ferral nut on underneeth it. If I put the nut on, make the flare then try and bend It the nut gets in the way of the reaction bar (so to speak) on my bender. Thats why I just thought that if someone had a good used line I would be happy to buy it from someone.

I am usually a flared fitting person too but this sounds like an application for a ferrule fitting. This means you will have to change the fittings that screw into the carb and shut-off housing, but then you don't have to contend with the tube length needed for the flaring tool.

Bob is right. I just made a new fuel line for my 630. If you have a tubing bender it helps make a nice looking bend and keeps the tubing from making a flat spot and kinking during the bend. I used ferrule connections since that is what was on it anyway and they worked well, but either flared or ferrule work just fine if yoy have matching fittings on the carburator and fuel shut-off/strainer.

I have made them several times. You need anealed copper pipe, fittings and a flaring tool
