third party image

Here is a pic from what my buddy and I brought home last week - he's an IH fan, so the front one is his.

My new 930 has new rear tires, starts easy (even at 28 degrees!), and has been well used, but very well kept.

It has about 2000 pounds of extra weight, but at least it didn't have water in the rears...

Nice picture. Would like to find a good 61 or 62 930 to go with my 900"s.

As the picture was loading slowly, the tops of the tractors showed up first. My immediate reaction (before the trailer was entirely visible) was they were tied together like they used to do for "braggin rights". I was thinking "oh, that poor Farmall is going for a drag!". Then the trailer showed up. I got a chuckle anyway.

Seems to me that if you hitched the Farmall to the back of that 930, you weren't going to work that Case up pulling the red one around backwards.

My opinion, of course.

Thanks for the pics.

This reminds me of a J.I. Case promotional film I saw as a youngster. I couldn't have been much more than 5 or 6 but it was during the round nose era. The film was shown at our local Case dealer's open house/bar-b-que), but I vividly remember they were hooking the Case size equivalents up to Green, red, and persian orange with a stout metal pole, draw bar-to-draw bar. In all cases the J.I. Cae would walk away with the competitors. I remember the dealer would always point out that if you want to compare power and strength lok at tractor weights and rear axle diameter. Case was always quite a bit heavier and the axles were always a little bigger.

I have never forgotten that and it was in the mid 1950s.
