I have a second 870 question. My Dad had a similar sized JD, and he could take a shaft out the back of the tractor, and flip it to change the PTO speed. I was wondering if anyone knew if this was also possible on an 870. I have a snow blower that needs to turn at a faster speed than 540. At 540, the snow just goes a few feet to the side, and I have a pic of this blower throwing snow 30' or so.

Case 870's had a reversable pto shaft to give 540/1000 capability standard
