Will the 504 head fit on a 451 out of a 1270
If not what has to be done for it to work. What type of injectors do the direct inject 451 heads have.

Well Travis i always figured i wouldnt do it myself. I have measured in the past the bore on a 451 is 4.375. The 504s valves are 4.380 outside to outside or so. You would have to clearance the sleeve for the valve to clear and enlarge the valve reliefs in the pistons. The 451s and early 504s have a small pencil type injector. The later 504s have a larger body type injector. Hope this helped Thad.

Thad, I thought of another question. How many HP can I realistically expect out of a 1070 without adding a turbo? It's pretty stout already at 118 hp. Can I get much more? If so, how?

Hey Thad! How's it going? Way off the subject here, but do you have any rear wheel lugs for a DC Case laying around? I'm looking for a dozen of 'em. These just squeeze that wide rib on the rim. That may be the only kind for a DC. I don't know. It's for a 14 X 38 rim if that makes any difference. Thanks for any help.
