I just bought a Case 930 in marginal condition. I"d like to start tinkering with it and wanted to know if anyone had any of the manuals in a pdf file? Or if anyone had a paper copy for sale. Thanks Joe Stewart

Joe; Are you asking about another tractor here? The 401 would have been built between 1955 and 1957. Serial number should be 7 digits beginning in 8. 8060001 was first 400 built... Gene

I copied those numbers off of an aluminum plate on a casting on the right side of the engine, up near the front of the motor. The aluminum plate says model 401 and the next number on the plate is the one that I put in my prior post. The hood says Case 930. Is there another spot that I can look for a serial number or is this it? Maybe I copied down a partial number. I'll have to look again this saturday when I go out to the property (on other side of town, where the tractor is stored). Thanks for all the help! J. Stewart

Joe; This is the engine size and serial number. The tractor serial number should be on a tag on the right side of the instrument cowl near the right side of the fuel tank if it is an early model. Early models had 6 speed transmission, mid models used 8 speed transmissions and later Comfort King tractors had 8 speeds, rear fuel tank and the operator platform was moved forward and higher... Watch ebay for paper copies. There are 930 manuals on it in the Antique Tractor/Case site right now. Easiest way to find these manuals is to search in the Business and Industrial section for 930 Case manuals. This narrows your search down a bunch.
