Ok anyone have a guess as to what the heck this is? Looks like a whole lot of home/barn fabrication on this unit...

This is a CCI notice the resemblance to the VAIW.
Also notice the kid driving the tractor below. man they would throw me in jail toss the key away now for that.
Walt PS To bad those young kids had more fun on those tractor and it made good people out of them too.

That is a tug they were built to pull trailers and planes on an airfield.

Thanks Walt. I was just kinda assumming that someone had a torch and a welder and liked to play with it.

I was actually kind of wondering if the VA series was ever equipped with a belly mower like the Farmall Cubs were? Of if a guy could add one?

I bought a new Woods 5ft belly mount for my VAC 2 years ago...works nicely. I doubt it would fit under the unit in this auction

Thanks Paul I'm thinking that I might pick up one in the spring and that would be the reason. I just have never seen one mounted and I would really like to stick to a case as opposed to getting a Farmall Cub.

I saw this on Ebay as well. It looks to me as if the fenders could be fabricated, although they look pretty original? All the VAIW's I've ever seen had cast iron fenders that weighed about 300 pounds each.

Saw this awhile back too. The grille guard is gone as well as the rear fenders that weigh more than 800 lbs each.
My VAIW was pretty complete when I got it. Only had to unstick and rering the engine and do the usual cleaning and straightening to get it back into shape. There is a picture of it in the Case archives... Gene

Yeah that's what I was thinking. But then I noticed the front axle... I'm not a Case expert by any means but I have never seen one looking quite like that.
