I have a 680Ck 66-67 year, trying to remove hydraulic pump to replace belts.Manual says to unbolt and pull pump shaft out of of front pulley. I cannot get it to separate from flex coupling in the crankshaft pully. Any suggestions?

Stuck hydraulic pump shaft in reply to Bill V, 11-11-2007 11:19:58
The best way to free up a hydraulic pump shaft is to use a small air hammer. Place it against the coupling and let it vibrate. The vibration causes the rust to pulverize, and the shaft can be pulled out with ease.
