Steve;
Where is this serial number tag located? I once owned a 530 industrial that was an ex Air Force tractor and it had a serial number similar to this. The tractor had no factory serial number and the Air Force tag was rivited on top of the transmission housing near the operator's right foot.

This tractor was painted safety yellow and was originally equipped with a 28 volt generator and air compressor for servicing airplanes on the flightline... Gene

Your number is most likely a 5 not a 2 and it should have letters in front or behind they would be the model. Or put up a pic and we can let you know what you have.

I don't think that is the number. The reason being is that you subtract 4 from the first two numbers and that is the year. 21-4 = 17, which would mean it was a 1917. However, they went to 7 digits in the mid 30s, so it can't be a 1917. If you have a picture we might be able to help you deduce what it might be.
