It seems like at some point Case changed their part numbers for things like cylinder packing kits. Does anyone have a reference or at least a quick list they could forward to me? I'd like to buy a couple of new seals from someone other than Case but I need their current part numbers.

My immediate need is for the backhoe cylinders. My parts book shows:

Do I also remember that now you need to order two different parts for some of these things that were once a single part number?

I don't know the part numbers without researching... but I can tell you that we get our Hydraulic Cylinder seal kits for our 580CK from "Equipment Part Source", Online LINK is:

The kits are good quality, USA made, and about 1/2 price as Case. The pictorials will clearly define which kits to order. Be aware that the 580CK used several different designs for the cylinder packing seals. I suspect the 530CK may be the same. You will need to look for an identifier groove style on the gland to order the correct kit.

Dale at tractor stuff (http://www.e-backhoeparts.com/) has been great. Answered all my questions and was a huge source if info. Got the right glands, wipe seals, gaskets, spool parts. I think he was raised on a case. I sent out 4 e-mails at christmas and he was the only one that responded in a timely manner. just another option.

Today's Featured Article - On the Road with Dave Gohl: Tractors and Farming - by Dave Gohl. I never thought I'd live to see the day, when I could call myself a farmer. What allows me to say this? Well, when our family moved to our 20 acre site near New Prague, Minnesota, I had one thought in mind. You guessed it, farm it somehow. A little history is in order. In my younger days, mom, dad and my brother made frequent visits to dad's youngest brother Pete, who took over the home farm from grandpa MIke. It was the typical set-up, milk cows, pigs & chickens. In the winter, we'd play ... [Read Article]
