I Posted a while back, about converting my magento over to a Distributor system... After getting most of my parts, the fun has now begun.

My Question: I Ended up getting an "ac delco 90 degree distributor". were these 12 volt units? If not how can I tell what I have, short of trying 12v and watching to see if it smokes?

Thanks in advance.

Everything is the same coil condenser and points just go to NAPA or any auto pars store and get a Balance resistor for it. Hook this between the on off switch and the coil. Walt

Thanks I appreciate the responses. It's these "small" things that are stumping me.

The distributor doesn't care if it is 6 or 12 volt. If you are running a 12 volt system, you will need a 12 volt coil or a voltage reducer resistor for the coil... Gene

The Condensor wont burn out if it is 6v? That would be great! I Do Have a 12 V coil standing by if this one doesn't generate a hot enough spark.

Thanks
