1940 Case V Tractor Brakes are Froze

I'M RESTORING A 1940 CASE V TRACTOR AND HAVING A PROBLEM WITH THE BRAKES ON THIS TRACTOR THEY ARE FROZE UP I KNOW I HAVE TO TAKE THE HOUSING OFF BUT HOW DO YOU GET THE BRAKES APART ON THE SIDE OF THE HOUSING AS I CANT GET THE HOUSING OFF UNTIL I GET THE PLATE IN FRONT WITH THE FOUR BOLTS OFF THATS ATTACHED TO THE BRAKES THAT RUN TO THE BRAKE PETAL. I GOT THE FOUR BOLTS OUT BUT EVERYTHING IS STILL SOLID ANY TRICK TO GETTING THIS APART ?

I have loosened stuck brakes by running a chain through the wheel and over the top of the tractor tire and pulling forward with another tractor. Maybe try this before you pull it apart... Gene

I use penitrting fluid on most of the ones i have done i use the shaffer it is good let it soak for a while and they should come off easily i hope this help you out jerry
