Hi all, am new to the board here.

Off and on a question comes to mind about a little bulldozer that was used in Vietnam. In my area it was nick named the teenie weenie. We estimated it at about 10,000 pounds by the way it felt when we sling loaded it out into the mountains.

Last week I ran into an old Seabee that swore that the dozer was a case.

Anyone have any knowledge on this animal, if it is still around in a more modern version, or any clues.

thanks

That pic of the 310 looks like it is a solid piece of machinery yet. I that yours?

Depending upon the transmission it was either a 310 or 350 model. These were the smallest that Case made at this time frame and what was sold to the militrary. These models have been discontinued. It could also have been a 450 model that is made. I had a friend who was in the SeeBees and went into business when he came home from Veitnam, he bought a Case 350 and said that is what he used in the war. Just thought I would throw that in.

Steve

There was also a model of a bulldozer that they took apart for transport. When we arrived the power train looked like a tricycle tractor. the tracks and blade had been removed as a unit. The tractor had wheels on the sprockets and a single up front. We took the thing out in the boonies as two sling loads. That animal must have been twice the size of the 310, since either the track and blade assembly or the tractor seemed to weigh at least 10,ooo pounds.

Everything was the same color - red - the color of the dust or mud depending on the season.
