case 830 high crop

i came across a high crop yesturday i think it is a 830 there was some paint covering the serial number i did make out a 8330 i think on the model number. it did have a 301 on the serial# tag on engine im not really a case collector so i dont know what to look for but i do know the high crops are some what rare im thinking about making a offer only problem is the engine is full of water the exhaust was not covered is $1000 to much to offer

Is it a high tin or low tin. If it is low I would definitly be interested in it. Be prepared to spend big bucks overhauling the 301. If the counter balance is shot in the engine you about as well walk or run away. Is it a case-o-matic or an dual range? Let me know

The 301 is a diesel, wet sleeves, and the engine from any 830 would bolt right in. What kind of shape is the rest of the tractor in?

decent the hood is missing but the hood should be no big deal
