What was the first Case Diesel farm tractor? I assume it was more recent than the LA, DC and SC.

Case built a few LA's with the Hesselman diesel engine. Not a real successful engine though. This would be a rare tractor.

First successful Case diesel was the "500' in 1953. Cummins and Detroit engined tractor were after market conversions by other companies... Gene

There were plenty of LA's with 3-cylinder Jimmy Diesels here in north central Oklahoma. Screaming darn things, but pumped out plenty of horse power. Came from dealer that way, but not sure if they came from factory that way. They weren't assembled here at dealers I am sure, but maybe elsewhere.

The 500 was the first regular production model. Case did experiment with a Cummins diesel in a Model L in the '30s, but decided it was too expensive.
