Just bought a 900 diesel, and I can't find a serial number. I looked by the flange behind the air filter, and it looks like a plate was there, but gone now. I read that a '59 has an inline pump, and this one does. I also read that a 930 has a longer front bolster, but I've got nothing to compare with, so I suppose it could be a 930. Radiator cap comes through the hood. Any help would be appreciated. Also, what's a 910? Thanks for your help. Kevin

910-B was the LPG version of 900. 940 was LPG version of 930.

I finally found my serial number- 8149767, which should make it a late 1959. It was under the paint. Thanks for your help. Kevin

The serial number on the engine flange will be stamped into the flang, not a tag. It should be there unless the block may have been changed. They are sometimes covered with paint and be hard to see. Was going to post picture but i's not uploading.

There should be a metal tag on the right side of the dash with seriel number on. The 59's number started with 814_____, the 58's were 812_____. The 59's had the inline pump and radiator cap on top of the hood. My 58 has the round pump and radiator cap under a square cover on hood. If the seriel number is more than 814____ it is a 930, I think..
