Kirk: I agree wholeheartedly that an LA is better than a W6. But we know that Leo thinks a John Deere D is even better, right?

yes yes yes yes tom ohh my gosh yes, i know this without thinking about it, tom this w-6 has a hyd pump problem, and im hesitating to get it fixed case i dont know if it's worth it/ Ive seen LA's ,and dont even have to think, as it's a much better tractor, than a W-6, now I have to find one tom, and then find a person that want's a W-6 like mine, i saw a two tone one at vandergiesen's lot in smith ctr but i think it's stuck Tom, I think everything else on it is alright and Gary want's 500,00 for it, so i dont know if it's worth it or not Tom? id sure like to have an lA and a beige 970 no cab too,I like them alot too, cool looking dash on them and cool looking line's without the cab on there, good power too, that's the 2 Case's I have on my mind, ohhh shoot Tom, I dont wanna get sidetraced by JD's and then get one and be sorry afterward's, So,,,I think that's what Ill get, is a 970 no cab in the beige and an LA in the flambeau red with the accent stripe's decal's on side of hood, kirk,

Kirk I think you should shelf the W6 and get a "LA".I"m still buying parts for mine but it will plow this fall I hope.It wont be done, but I need to fufill this craving of feeling that big engine open up those 1200 revs and plow! They are great tractor.Alot of good tractors out there including the W6 but, that "LA" is one of the BIG ones! Ande

Pitfalls of Tractor Engine Rebuilds - by Chris Pratt. The first pop after you have put the machine together with your own hands is exciting and pleasing. The whole experience can be marred if one moves too fast and makes too many assumptions that they can just use "as is" some parts they should be closely scrutinizing and possibly attended to. In such cases, rework makes what could have been a fun project turn into an irritant or even a nightmare. Minor Irritants To give you an example of an minor but irritating proble
