Hi, First time post here, I have a DC with a serial #DC8027601. I looked at it 3 times to make sure. It has a foot clutch, eagle hitch, and adj. wide front. Was curious what year it is?

Thanks, Lanny Withey

Lanny,
Gene is right, you have a 1953 (last year made) DC with all the nice updates then available. It was a great tractor for the time. The adjustable wide front is also not very common, so it makes your machine a bit more valuable. Good Luck with it. Don

Thanks. My dad used to have 2 DC's on the farm when I was young, both nf with hand clutches. My brother picked this one up at an auction a few years ago. He wanted to sell it so I bought it. It has been painted not too long ago, looks pretty sharp. I have an electrical issue with it right now, haven't had time to remedy the problem yet. (I'm into Case garden tractors also, 6 so far, dealing on 3 more.) Lanny

Greenfrog;
Case changed the number system with 1953 model. Tractors built in Racine used 7 digit serial numbers starting with 8. Rock Island tractor serial numbers started with 6. The rule of minus 4 no longer applies... Gene

According to the rule--you subtract 4 from the first two digits. That doesnt look like a DC number. I dont think itis a 1976!
