Case 800 Wheels Needed...

I have a 800 Diesel and the rear wheel are rotted out. Any suggestions on a good place to locate a decent used set for a fair price? I have another set but they have too many of the spin on ridges and I'd have to cut and reweld them in the right location to use them. I would also be willing to trade if anyone is interested. The ones that I have are perfect just need primed and painted...
Thanks

What size are your 800 wheels? I am guessing they are 12 x 38??

The tires that are on the tractor are 15.5 x 38 and there are 8 rails on the inside of the wheels...

If I understand you correctly you need 14x38 rims that are spin-outs. What are the rims you have that would need to be cut/welded? OUr local salvage yard typically wants $2-250 for used 14x38 spinouts. New ones are around $4-450.

If you know of any salvage yards in eastern IN I'd be real interested in talking to them? They are kinda far andfew between in the NE corner of Ohio.

Where in NE Ohio are you located? There is someone that advertises in the "Farm and Dairy" that is in NW Ohio that specializes in Oliver but has a little bit of everything. Isn"t there a salvage yard near Bristol Ohio? Between Bristol and Cortland (??). (we"re from NE Ohio but are in Indiana now) I"ve often wondered who/where the Case dealer(s) were in that area. I can tell you where some Ford, IH, AC and White/Oliver dealers used to be but not Case. Myers or Hines are here in North central Indiana. they probably has something but may not be Case (which doesn"t matter). I may have one but won"t know for a few months if I"m going to sell it. Cutting off the old ones and welding on new ones sounds like too much work and if you get one off they may not mount up again and or the power shift may not work. you"re better off with your orginal post idea of selling/trading the 8 rails for 6 rails. What tractor did the 8 rails come from?

Oh there are a cpl of Case dealers around here but they were not much help when I was "rebuilding" Mom's 511B. I was looking more for salvage yards.

That's what I was thinking that I might be better off treding/selling the 8's for 6's. The guy that i bought the 800B from threw them in with the purchase price. I was assuming that they were for a Case but I suppose that's not neccessarily true...

The wheels that are on my tractor that need replaced are a 6 rail and the spare set are an 8 rail set up. I was told that I could use a plasma cutter remove all of the 8 rails but one and the wire weld the other 5 in place to make them work. I just wanted to find out if there were any 6 rails out there that might be available...

While it sounds like a big project, if you rework your wheels you should be able to leave two of the rails that are directly across from each other.
