What exactly do I have to do to put 1030 sleeves in my 930? What do I use for head gaskets? It is a 6 speed 930 and the motor is nosie. I would like to put 1030 pistons in it.

I believe you would have to have the block re-bored to accept the larger sleeves and the cost of doing that would be prohibitive.

I had an 830 gas bored to put in 336 sleeves by one of the top machine shops in our area and it was around $150.00 per hole.

I was thinking about doing the same thing. How much trouble was it? How much more power did you get?

$150 x 6 ....900 plus sleeves, pistons, gaskets and etc,. $3,000 in parts and machining. Now add labor, to gain about 6 h.p. If you keep it a 377 you can leave block and crank in tractor and just put in sleeves and piston. And I didn't check to see if the heads are interchanageable.
