I have been offered a Case RC with the styled grille that has been sitting in a shed for several years. So far, I've discovered that the RC was introduced in 1935, but I can't find out how many years they were made. I wonder how much trouble it will be to find parts for this tractor, and if it's a very popular or sought after model. It is not stuck, but the tires are all in bad shape. Any input, opinions, or information would be appreciated. Good Luck and God Bless, Tommy

Hello Revredneck,
You ask about the "CASE" model "RC" rowcrop tractor that you have, you say that it has the styled radiator grille, this style of grille was only produced and built during the 1939 - 40 production year.
I hope that this helps your query.

If it is styled, let me know where to pick it up if you don't.

The R series was built from 1935-1940. Most parts are available but not through CaseNH. The engine was purchased from Waukesha with everything else being Case built. Tires will be pricy, but are generally available.

Massey Ferguson 35 (and up) Tractor Assembly Notes - by Jack Wetmore. These assembly notes are for Massey Ferguson tractors with a two stage clutch and 6 speed, 8 speed and mutli-power transmissions. I see a lot of discussion forum messages regarding damaged clutches from improper assembly. The objective is to have the engine and transmission slide together safely and easily until the gap between the two halves is less than 1/4", BEFORE tightening any of the bolts holding the two together. Using bolts to draw the two halves together will damage the PTO
