Case 530, gas, runs fine at low speed with no load. Put a load on it and it will stall. But starts right up after the stall.
Anyone recognize this symptom? Sediment bowl seems to stay full the entire time when running under any load.

It sounds like a fuel problem. Probably needs a carb cleaning and kit.

I took your advise, just got the carb back from the shop. Cleaned and new kit installed. Put it back on, fired it up, but no change. Still stalls if you ask it to do any work.

Checked fuel lines, lots of fuel flow, and the bowl stays full all the time. Whats next?

On a scale of 1-10 how difficult is it to do the carb kit on this tractor?
I'm hoping for a 2 or 3...

Does it have an adjustable main jet? IF so,Open your throttle up to a working speed and open up the main jet to attain maxium RPMS.From what you have said this may not do it if it has a fixed main jet.You did not tell us what brand and/or model your CASE 530 has. CENTAUR

BTW, the info you gave, your tractor is a 1968 utility standard front-end.

Their are two carbs for the 530, Zenith and Marvel Schebler. The Marvel is cast iron and the Zenith is Aluminum. Which carb do you have? Also, is the tractor producing any black smoke or missing? You might have a cylinder not getting spark. Pull the plug wires off one at a time and listen for a change. If you pull a wire off and don't here a change that is the cylinder not receiving spark. And no… the carb kit is not that difficult to put in, just watch how things come apart. Have a digital camera handy and snap a few photos to reference back. The carb kit should come with instructions and the exploded view or the carb.
