I have a buyer interested in the old tractor/skip loader that has been 'resting' in the front of my ranch house in Arizona for years. My parents aquired it from a neighbor sometime in the 70s along with the original invoice and assorted paperwork related to parts and repairs. It was purchased used in 1960 from Crook Comany construction and equipment out of L.A. The invoice is for a 'used Case J model DI tractor w/ Hough 5/8 C. Y. skip loader, hyd. controls mech. dump, engine (S/N 45381) I am told that it has a double rear axle. It is not in great shape as it has been in the weather all these years though of course it is pretty dry here and rust is not a big issue. Moving it will be a big job. I accustomed to having it as part of my landscape but like the idea of it's being restored. (I rode in it's bucket with my friend when we were kids) Any help determining a price is greatly appreciated. Thanks! Margaret

The price is really depends on how much you want to get for it. It should probably get at fetch at least a scrap price, $250-$500. However the buyer may not be looking to spend that much if it is going to be a major project to remove it from the lawn and later restore it. If you would rather see it restored and used than sitting in the lawn, a token transaction and some picture of the completed restoration may be appropriate.

The link below is one that sold recently on ebay. It was originally listed for around $600, but no one bid.
