Well I pulled the tractor down and sure enough the head gasket had been leaking a long time. The front one was just about punded of under the head. No o rings any where on either gasket. So, this engine was tore down before. I put it back together after a good cleaning and checking every thing. Still ended up with water in #1. Pulled it down again and let sit a day with the head off. When the sleeve was wet or how ever you want to call it freash from having the head off. Nothing was seen wrong with the sleeve. The sleeve dryed out of the coarse of a few days , but ti still had a tiny little oil spot on the side. Sure enough it has a tiny little hole in the middle of the oil spot. I mean tiny at that too. I will pull the sleeve and inspect the next one to see if this may be a problem that will have to be addressed through the other 3. I hope it sjust a bad spot that took yrs to work through and ot cavatation.

I KEEP HEARING THAT IT IS CAUSED BY NOT CHANGING ANTIFREEZE.
MY SON'S PETERBUILT DID THE SAME THING, ANTIFREEZE HAD BEEN CHANGED OFTEN, IT LOOKED BURNED ON THE WATER SIDE.

Yes that is what causes it. There is a aditive you can add to the coolant to replenish the "lube properties of it" It helps reduce the exffects of cavation on the exterior of the cylinder sleeves. Its just strange where this one showed up on the sleeve. Usally they will between 2 sleeves. It happens from the water molecules bounceing off the sleeve due to the vibration caused by the engine running.
