The kids here have two 52 DC's apart. One is an original LPG with the LP head, the other is a regular gasoline. We've got both blocks but one rear gear case is shot. They want to totally restore one out of the two. Which way should I have them go? The LP unit or the gasoline? We have both dashes and serial numbers, so we can match engine with rear. What do you think? We will probabably just ship it back in a parts container and put it on the market. Which would sell better?

Hi there, Ted I am the fellow from Penna. that sold you a couple of 1952 CASE DC tractor rear ends the other year, I hauled them to your parents farm. Just thought I would let you know, I have a 1954 Case DC foot clutch tractor that is pretty well in tact yet, has the engine in it though it is stuck, I have pictures if you have an interest. I also have a running 1952 DC that is in decent condition, it has a knock in the engine, but is not in the rod bearings, I looked at them, I think it is a piston. I might sell this tractor. Let me know what you are thinking. Sincerely, Caseman44

Ted,
I'm partial to the LP version-there aren't very many and even less factory equipped. Many people can't believe there is an LP version of the DC. Don

Go LP and let me know when you get it done. I"d like a shot at it.

In my opinion, I would restore the LP gas version. I see straight gas versions all the time. It is very infrequent to run into a LP Gas. I think it would bring you more bang for your buck.
