i am looking at buying a 4WD 1694 hydrashift and would like to hear from anyone that owned, used or knows anything about one of these tractors. What i"d like to about is their reliability, i have a 1394 that i"m very happy with but have been told that the 6 cylinder models aren"t as reliable" that they"re hard to start in cold weather and the hydrashift is the exact same as the one in the 4 cylinder models and can"t handle the power of the 6 cylinder models - any thoughts on this or anything else about them???

Try asking on the David Brown Club Forum (you can join the forum without being a club member). I think there might be a couple of folk who have actually worked with 1694's and could give you a fair assessment based on experience rather than hearsay. I've never even seen one, so I can't offer any more help than this I'm afraid...
Cheers, JV.
